Keep your Community’s Oaks Standing: Be vigilant about threats to oak woodlands and oak forested lands in your community. Email California Oaks for support on conservation projects: oakstaff@californiaoaks.org.

Donate or Place a Conservation Easement on Oak Woodlands: Consider either establishing a permanent conservation easement or donating oak woodlands or oak forested lands for conservation purposes. Click here to find a local land trust.

Employer Matching Contributions: Multiply the impact of your donation by asking your employer to match your gift.

Gifts of Securities: Contributing shares of securities provides an opportunity to realize tax benefits of the full fair market value of the gift, if you have held the securities for more than one year. Contributions from an Individual Retirement Account: Donors who are 70½ years old and older can contribute up to $100,000 from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) directly to California Wildlife Foundation/California Oaks without having to pay income taxes on the funds.

Planned Gifts: Consider including California Wildlife Foundation/California Oaks in your estate planning through a bequest in your will, through a charitable trust, or through the designation of California Wildlife Foundation/California Oaks as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy, savings account, or brokerage account.
